MISSION: To respond to the AIDS epidemic by working to prevent the incidence of HIV infections, enhance the quality of life for people infected/affected by HIV/AIDS, facilitate access to available resources, end discrimination, and collaborate within communities to address HIV/AIDS through support services & groups, educational services/in-services, volunteer services and buddy hotlines.

SERVICES: Star Transportation - Transportation services available for HIV positive persons going to medical appointments, counseling appointments, and support groups.

Treatment Adherence Program (also known as TAP) - Provides support and education for HIV positive persons taking or considering taking Anti-HIV medications.

GRADS - A support system for gay men and all men who have sex with men, both those who identify as gay and those who do not. Offers counseling and outreach services.

LGBT Youth Center – Center with after school programs for lesbian, gay, bi-sexual and transgender youth ages 13 – 22. Confidential site in Syracuse.

Syracuse - Gay, Straight & Questioning Youth Group meets on Thursdays, 7:00pm - 8:30pm. Transgender Support Group for ages 14-24 meets 1st and 3rd Wednesdays, 3:30pm – 5:00pm.


AREAS SERVED: Cayuga, Herkimer, Jefferson, Lewis, Madison, Oneida, Onondaga, Oswego, and St. Lawrence Counties

SUPPORT: Grants, donations, fundraising, COBRA, AIDS Institute, and DOH.

REFERRALS: Physicians, health agencies, hospitals

HOURS: Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 4:30pm
